Patriots safety Patrick Chung has been indicted on a charge of possessing cocaine in New Hampshire.
Chung has an arraignment scheduled for next week Wednesday, according to the Belknap County Attorney’s office in Laconia, New Hampshire.
According to Mark Daniels of the Providence Journal, the incident took place around June 25 in Meredith and the indictment was presented on August 8,
Cocaine possession is a Class B felony and carries a potential prison term of 3½ to seven years, according to the Laconia Daily Sun.
The Patriots released the following statement:
We are aware of the reports regarding Patrick Chung. We will not be commenting while his judicial proceedings take place.

Chung has played for the Patriots in nine of his ten NFL seasons, with one year spent in Philadelphia in 2013. He has been apart of three Super Bowl winning teams.
