Josh Allen Says He’s Working On A Distance Throwing Contest With Patrick Mahomes

Plenty of people take the Madden ratings seriously. And that includes players.

Last month, EA Sports gave Bills quarterback Josh Allen the game’s highest rating in arm strength with a 99 and Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes had the second highest with a 97.

Mahomes then challenged Allen to a throw-off.

“Obviously Josh has an extremely strong arm, but I’ve yet to see someone have a stronger arm than me,” Mahomes said. “Maybe we can line up… I know we talked about maybe having a throw-off and then we can prove who really has the strongest arm.”

“I have the ultimate belief in myself. I mean he does have a strong arm, but if I put it out there like 80-85 yards… If he beats that he beats it.”

Allen went on Good Morning Football on Wednesday and said he’s working on putting something together with Mahomes.

“We’re working on it,” Allen said. We had something in place actually for this summer, but some COVID restrictions had that kinda shot down.”

It will probably be too difficult to have something setup before the season, but the NFL world will get to see the two quarterbacks duel this season when Buffalo hosts Kansas City on Thursday Night Football on October 15.
