Vikings LB Anthony Barr is set to be an unrestricted free agent after playing out his fifth year with Minnesota.
According to Connor Hughes of The Athletic, the Lions and Jets have interest in Barr with Detroit considered the early favorite.
Hughes adds that Minnesota has interest in bringing him back and should not be ruled out.
Barr spoke at the Pro Bowl last month and said he’s open to searching the market.
“I’ve been thinking about it,” Barr said. “It’s been a whole year, two years really, coming, so — my contract was up last year, had the option, and this year now it’s really up so the possibilities I feel like are endless and I could be anywhere. I want to be back, like I’ve said throughout the last year, but like I’ve been saying also I know my worth and I know what I’ve got to do I’ve got to do it for me.”
Barr, 26, was taken with the 9th overall pick in 2014. He had 55 tackles, 3 sacks and a forced fumble in 13 games for the Vikings last season.
