Many of us thought that Thursday night’s game against Tennessee was Jalen Ramsey’s final game as a member of the Jacksonville Jaguars.
He wasn’t traded on Friday. Wasn’t traded on Saturday. And after that, Ramsey called the Jaguars on Sunday and told them he won’t be attending Monday’s practice because he’s sick. According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Ramsey may not be at practice all week.
The timing makes it difficult to believe, but according to ESPN’s Josina Anderson, Ramsey is actually sick.
According to multiple reports last week, the Jaguars want two first-round picks in a deal for Ramsey. Any team trading for Ramsey will also have to give a big new contract to the Pro Bowl cornerback.
But after Thursday night’s win over Tennessee, the Jaguars seem to be not interested in moving Ramsey.
Ramsey’s stance has not changed: he still wants out and now he’s not at practice. The showdown is officially on.
