Comeback Player of the Year is an award people can see Cam Newton winning if he’s back and healthy. How about winning another MVP award?
After agreeing to terms with the Patriots, Cam Newton skyrocketed into the top 10 in the latest MVP odds at MGM’s sports book.
At +2500 (25-to-1), Newton is tied with Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray and Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers for the ninth-best odds to win MVP.
Tom Brady and Drew Brees are tied for the fifth-best odds at +1500. Reigning Super Bowl MVP Patrick Mahomes is favored to win the award at +375, followed by Russell Wilson and the 2019 MVP Lamar Jackson, both +600. Deshaun Watson and Carson Wentz at +1700 and Dak Prescott at +1200 are also ahead of the former Panthers starter.
Newton won the MVP award in 2015. If he can win the award in New England, he’ll join Peyton Manning (Denver and Indianapolis) as the only players to win MVP with two different teams.
