Bills defensive lineman Ed Oliver was arrested overnight in Houston and charged with DWI and unlawfully carrying a weapon.
According to Montgomery Police, Oliver was pulled over after another driver called cops and reported a white Ford pickup that was failing to maintain a lane and driving dangerously in a construction zone. After locating the vehicle and pulling it over, Oliver was found driving with an open beer between his legs and was brought in for a mandatory blood draw before being taken to jail. A search of his car found a pistol but no drugs.
Oliver was booked at the Montgomery County Jail and charged with one count of driving under the Influence of alcohol and one count of unlawfully carrying a weapon.
Video of Oliver’s failed sobriety test was posted online.
The Bills drafted Oliver with the ninth overall pick in the 2019 draft.
He played in all 16 games in his rookie season and recorded 43 tackles, 5 sacks and a forced fumble.
