Report: Deion Sanders No Longer With NFL Network

Deion Sanders is leaving the NFL Network after over a decade, John Ourand of Sports Business Journal reports.

Sanders was on a variety of shows with the network. He hosted GameDay Prime every Sunday night during the season, providing interviews with top-performing players from the day’s games. He was also involved in their NFL Combine and Draft coverage.

Sanders has also served as a vocal mentor to troubled players, most recently with suspended free agent receiver Antonio Brown.

He has taken some heat in recent days over his tweet about players opting out of playing sports this year.

He later responded to those critics.

“When did we as a people become so Sensitive,Soft,Skeptical & Sad? Let’s go baby we have so much work today to achieve the things we desire. Come on People.”

Sanders has been rumored as someone who would want to go into coaching, and he told Dan Patrick in January, “I’m gonna be a head coach in college football next year.”
