The Jets will be one of the busiest teams this offseason. With over $90M in cap space and a franchise QB in place, the Jets are poised to add talent.
Linebacker is one position they want to improve. They’ve been linked to Anthony Barr, Kwon Alexander and C.J. Mosley.
If they land one of their targets, they may look to move on from 2016 first-round LB Darron Lee.
According to Manish Mehta of the New York Daily News, the team is ready to move on from Lee if they can find an upgrade on the open market.
Lee, 24, was suspended for the final 4 games of 2018 for violating the NFL’s substance abuse policy.
He’s currently in the final year of his four-year, $10.2M deal and is set to make a base salary of $1.8M in 2019.
