The NFL opened Pro Bowl voting on Tuesday, and while the game won’t happen this year, Pro Bowl voting is still important for players and teams.
There are some players who have Pro Bowl appearances tied to their contracts and there are some teams who have made trades with draft pick conditions on making the Pro Bowl.
For example, Minnesota acquired Yannick Ngakoue from the Jaguars this past summer for a second-round pick and a conditional fifth-round pick. The fifth-round pick becomes a fourth-round pick if Ngakoue goes to the Pro Bowl this season.
Jaguars fans have decided to play chess and not checkers and have a campaign underway to get Ngakoue voted into the Pro Bowl so the Jaguars get the higher conditional draft pick.
Fans of the three other NFC North teams, Packers, Lions and Bears, have also joined Jaguars fans in their quest.
There is an operation underway to vote YANNICK NGAKOUE to the Pro Bowl so that the Jags get a higher conditional draft pick from the Vikings in the 2021 draft.

The Vikings traded Ngakoue to the Ravens for a 2021 third-round pick and a 2022 conditional fifth-round pick on October 22nd, but the conditions all still apply. The fifth-round pick could turns into a third-round pick if he goes to the Pro Bowl and the Vikings or Ravens win the Super Bowl.
Ngakoue has five sacks, two forced fumbles, eight quarterback hits and 15 tackles (five for losses) in nine games this season.
