Report: John Ross Expected To Stay Put In Cincinnati

Bengals receiver John Ross has made it clear that he wants to get traded before today’s deadline.

The team, however, is not planning on moving him.

According to Tyler Dragon of the Cincinnati Enquirer, Ross is not expected to get traded today. The plan is for him to finish out his rookie contract and then become an unrestricted free agent in March.

The former 9th overall pick took to Twitter on Friday showing frustration with his lack of playing time.

It’s not a secret that i have requested a trade,” Ross tweeted. “Trade me if this how y’all feel. I’m healthy and eager to play. I know I can be productive. It’s hard to love something when your not actually participating in it. Believe me, its not football that i don’t like.

Ross played 55 snaps in the season opener against the Chargers but has played only 29 total snaps since.

He has two catches for 17 yards this season.
