Report: Giants Tell DeAndre Baker To Solely Focus On Legal Issues

The Giants want DeAndre Baker to put football to the side as he deals with a legal mess.

According to Pat Leonard of the New York Daily News and Dan Duggan of The Athletic, the Giants have informed Baker to stay away from team’s meetings and to focus solely on his legal issues.

Baker turned himself into authorities in Florida after an arrest warrant was issued on four counts of armed robbery and four counts of aggravated assault with a firearm.

On Sunday, Baker was released after a judge set bail at $200,000. He has to surrender his carry permit and firearm to police, and he also can’t leave the state of Florida.

Seahawks cornerback Quinton Dunbar also turned himself into authorities on warrants stemming from the same incident. He was released after a judge set his bail at $100,000.
