Keenan Allen On Madden: Game Is Trash Honestly

Chargers wide receiver Keenan Allen has given up on Madden.

The topic was randomly brought up during his press conference on Monday. Allen was asked if he was satisfied with his Madden rating this year after he made a fuss about it last year.

“I don’t even know what it is. I don’t play it this year… Not because I’m mad. I mean, game is trash honestly,” Allen said.

Plenty of gamers have called out EA Sports for the lack of new features and the poor handling of franchise mode. In fact, fans started a #NFLDropEA hashtag that was trending throughout the summer in hopes that some other company could gain the rights.

That isn’t happening any time soon. In May, NFL owners approved a 5-year extension with EA Sports for the league’s Madden video-game license.

Here’s the video of Allen last year showing his frustration after he was given an 89 overall rating.

2K Sports is planning to launch a non-simulation football game at some point in 2021.
