If there’s one thing Baker Mayfield has taught us, it’s that he isn’t scared to open up his mouth.
Mayfield got upset with his receivers during a practice over the weekend for not coming back to the ball when he was scrambling.
“Those guys know that’s a big part of our offense,” Mayfield said, via ESPN.com. “It’s just the fact that if we get lazy and let things slide. We need to be open to communicating right now.”
“….I’m not going to be a jacka**. I’m gonna talk through it. I’m gonna harp on it, then I’m going to talk to them. And like I said, we need to be on the same page.”
Head coach Freddie Kitchens said that he has no problem with Mayfield yelling at other players on the team.
“I expect my quarterback to get everybody on the same page,” Kitchens said. “That’s what I want.”
