Cowboys kicker Brett Maher has missed 10 kicks this season, including 8 from 40+ yards.
After another miss last night, his time in Dallas might be nearing its end.
Cowboys coach Jason Garrett was on 105.3 The Fan this morning and acknowledged that change might be coming at the kicker position.
“Obviously, we have to do a close evaluation of it,” Garrett said. “We brought three kickers in earlier in the week. We decided to give Brett an opportunity this week. It didn’t work out. So we have to take a real close, hard look at that.”
The Cowboys worked out kickers on Sunday after Maher missed both his field goal attempts vs. the Bills on Thanksgiving last week. Austin MacGinnis, Nick Rose and Tristan Vizcaino were the three kickers.
At 6-7, the Cowboys will be in first place in the NFC East entering Week 15 even if the Eagles beat the Giants on Monday night.
