We’ve been hearing about this all week long.
Shortly after it was announced that the Washington football team team would no longer be known as the Redskins, a series of tweets from local reporters emerged, warning that a bombshell report involving the team is on the way.
The tweets that have been put out over the last few days include…
- “It’s not pretty.”
- “Disappointing and sad.”
- “It’s not good.”
- “The toxic culture of the Washington Football Team is about to be exposed in a sickening fashion.”
The latest rumbling is that an article from the Washington Post is expected to be released on Thursday.
There’s a bunch of people speculating on social media on what the report is. There’s nothing concrete that makes them true. These type of situations you have to wait for full confirmation.
But based off what it sounds like, this is a story that won’t just fit in one tweet.
John Gonzalez of ABC Washington tweeted tonight that the team’s name change will be “old news” come tomorrow when a “bombshell report” is expected to surface.
On Sunday, the team fired Director of pro personnel Alex Santos and assistant Richard Mann II, and on Wednesday longtime broadcaster Larry Michael announced he’s leaving the team after 16 years.
There’s no way of knowing if the report has anything to do with those moves, but the timing is definitely not ideal.
