According to ESPN, Josh Gordon wants to end up in Dallas or San Francisco. Though, Cleveland will have the final say on where Gordon ends up.
The Browns announced on Saturday that they were planning to release Gordon on Monday. Even though they announced he was getting cut, the Browns made the announcement with the idea of creating trade possibilities. At least five teams have explored the idea of trading for Gordon.
The report adds that Cleveland wants to send him out of the AFC which would make Dallas or San Francisco potential options. Gordon is scheduled to make $790K this season so he is financially affordable.
Gordon reportedly came late to the facility on Saturday and complained about a hamstring issue. The injury is believed to have happened during a promotional shoot, which had nothing to do with the Browns.
Gordon was active in week one vs the Steelers and caught a game-tying TD in the fourth quarter.
Meanwhile for Cleveland, rookie Antonio Callaway is expected to have a larger role in the offense. There has been no word on if they’ll try to bring in Dez Bryant, who remains a free agent.
