Cowboys Linebacker Sean Lee Pledges $150K For Crisis Relief

Cowboys linebacker Sean Lee is making a donation to help feed children out of school during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Lee and his wife Megan have committed to donating $150,000 through their Dreambuilders Foundation to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Dallas and the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Tarrant County to help them provide meals to kids and families during the Coronavirus crisis. The donation will help the two organizations provide 50,000 meals over the next six weeks.

“These kids are incredible,” Lee said. “They face adversity everyday and they do it so well, but facing hunger is something they shouldn’t have to do. Helping the Boys & Girls Club to do that, that’s something we wanted to help with and we hope that others will help, too.”

In addition to their personal donation, Sean and Megan have set up a website where Cowboys fans can also contribute to this effort. The site, https://pledgeit.org/keepingkidsfed, is offering chances to win signed memorabilia and tickets to the Cowboys home opener for those who donate. Every $3 donated funds a meal for a child in need.

“Our kids and families need us at Boys & Girls Club now more than ever. And we need help from generous people like Sean and Megan Lee now more than ever,” says Daphne Barlow Stigliano, CEO Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Tarrant County. “I am overwhelmed with gratitude knowing the Lee family is helping us solve the biggest challenge we’ve ever encountered.”
