Bucs Benched Ronald Jones On Sunday

Two weeks ago, the Buccaneers benched OJ Howard. This past Sunday, Ronald Jones was benched.

Bucs coach Bruce Arians told reporters on Monday that Jones was benched in the third quarter for missing a blitz pickup that resulted in a sack-forced fumble.

“RoJo missed a blitz pickup and that’s it,” Arians said. “You don’t get to play no more.”

Jones did not see another snap for the remainder of the game.

Peyton Barber rushed for two touchdowns in the 28-11 win over Jacksonville.

Jones was the No. 38 overall pick in the 2018 draft by the Bucs. He has 482 rushing yards and 218 receiving yards this season.

The Bucs have won two in a row and are 5-7 on the season. They face the Colts this week.
