The Ron Rivera to Washington buzz started to heat up over the weekend and it’s only getting hotter.
According to multiple reports, Rivera and the Redskins are expected to meet on Monday.
According to Mark Maske of the Washington Post, the Redskins want Rivera, and they hope to complete a deal with him on Monday, “before any other teams become involved.”
The Redskins fired head coach Jay Gruden early in the regular season and Bill Callahan served as the interim coach.
Rivera was fired by the Panthers after 9 seasons on December 3rd.
The Redskins are also planning to remove team president Bruce Allen from the football operations department.
