The Bears season ended in heartbreaking fashion last year but there’s still high expectations among betters.
According to David Purdum of ESPN, the Bears have drawn the most wagers to win the Super Bowl in Vegas sports books.
“It’s been kind of overwhelming, the support [for the Bears],” Caesars Sportsbook senior oddsmaker Alan Berg told ESPN. “Every time the Bears go to the playoffs, the following year, the money just pours in. Everybody gets optimistic.”
The Browns are right behind the Bears in Super Bowl bets, according to Purdum.
The Bears have 9-1 odds to win the Super Bowl at the Caesars Sportsbook. The Browns are 10-1.
Bears quarterback Mitchell Trubisky and Browns quarterback Baker Mayfield are the most popular bets to win MVP, with Mayfield being the most popular bet.
“They’re going wild on Baker Mayfield,” SuperBook VP of risk management Ed Salmons told ESPN.
