Steelers WR Antonio Brown was involved in a domestic dispute in January, but was not arrested, TMZ reports.
According to the report, a woman contacted the Hollywood Police Dept. in Florida and made a report alleging misconduct by Brown. The incident occurred last month.
A rep for the Hollywood Police Dept. told TMZ: “Mr. Brown was involved in a domestic dispute. No arrests were made.”
Antonio Brown’s lawyer, Darren Heitner, released the following statement to ESPN: “The allegations are baseless and false. It’s unfortunate that the media is trying to use distractions like this and prior stories in an effort to tarnish my client’s name and reputation. We have no further comment.”
The Steelers released this statement: “We were made aware earlier today of the alleged incident involving Antonio Brown last month in Florida. We are still in the process of gathering information, consequently we have no further comment at this time.”
Brown has had a crazy offseason thus far. He reportedly wants out of Pittsburgh and prefers to be traded to San Fransisco. He was benched in Week 17 vs the Bengals after an incident at practice.
He has ignored calls and texts from owner Art Rooney and HC Mike Tomlin.
