One of the main priorities for the Jets this offseason is to add weapons around franchise QB Sam Darnold.
According to Manish Mehta of the NYDN, there’s some chatter that the Jets are interested in signing Jaguars impending free agent WR Donte Moncrief this offseason.
Moncrief, 25, is a former third-round pick of the Colts in 2014. Last offseason he signed a 1-year, $9.6M fully-guaranteed deal with the Jaguars.
In his one season with Jacksonville, Moncrief played all 16 games and caught 48 passes for 668 yards and 3 TDs. He torched the Jets last season putting up 109 yards and a TD in a Week 4 win.
The Jets are projected to have north of $90M in cap space this offseason.
Along with Moncrief, the Jets have also been linked to Le’Veon Bell, Matt Paradis and Dante Fowler Jr.
Moncrief is a free agent in a not so great WR class. Full 2019 free agent list can be found HERE.
