Report: Jaguars Have Considered Shutting Down RB Leonard Fournette Until Week 10

According to Florida Football Insiders, the Jaguars are considering the possibility of shutting down RB Leonard Fournette (hamstring) until week 10. The report adds that he will be re-evaluated next week before any final decision.

Fournette originally suffered the hamstring injury in week one vs the Giants and re-aggravated it in week four vs the Jets. The Jaguars already ruled him out for this week’s game vs Dallas and with the team traveling to London in a few weeks and then on a bye, it could make sense for Jacksonville to be cautious and hold him out until Week 10.

T.J. Yeldon has done a fine job replacing him and the Jaguars signed veteran Jamaal Charles on Tuesday to be his backup.

Expect more regarding Fournette next week.
