Adrian Peterson recently told TMZ that he’s 100% playing in the 2019 season.
After a breakout season in Washington, the Redskins want Peterson back.
Peterson spoke to Julie Donaldson of NBC Sports Washington today and said both sides are “going back and forth on numbers” for a new deal.
Peterson, who turns 34 on March 21, is scheduled to become a free agent. He was unsigned last year into preseason action. It took a Derrius Guice ACL injury for the Redskins to sign him.
He ended up finishing with his first 1,000-yard season since 2015 with 1,042 yards and averaged 4.2 yards per carry. He even got votes for Comeback Player of the Year. Even with Guice returning, the Redskins don’t seem to mind having Peterson in the mix.
Guice recently posted a video of himself sprinting full-speed.
