Combine week usually means a ton of rumors will go around. The Kyler Murray to the Cardinals talk has been non-stop and continues to heat up.
If the Cardinals were to take Kyler Murray, they would likely look to trade last year’s first round pick QB Josh Rosen.
According to Peter King, an NFL GM said the Cardinals might only get a 3rd-round pick for Josh Rosen.
“Probably a three,” the GM said. “Not what the Cardinals would think his value is.”
The Cardinals gave up a 3rd and a 5th-rounder to move up from 15 to 10 to take Rosen in last year’s draft.
King went on to say that he would be “shocked” if the Cardinals have already made up their mind to draft Murray 53 days in advance of the draft.
During the combine, Cardinals GM Steve Keim was asked if Rosen is their starting QB moving forward.
“Is Josh Rosen our quarterback?” Yeah, he is right now. For sure.”
In his rookie season, Rosen appeared in 14 games and completed 55% of his passes for 2,278 yards, 11 TDs and 14 INTs.
