A report from the New York Daily News came out early Friday that the Jets have spoken to former Bears guard Kyle Long about potentially coming out of retirement.
Long says that is not true.
Rick Tarsitano of WGN News asked Long if there’s any truth to the report and his reply was: “No. None.”
Long retired from the NFL after the end of the season, citing the physical wear and tear. He has only played in 30 games the last four seasons due to injuries.
Meanwhile, Jets general manager Joe Douglas has been busy this offseason building the offensive line. If he’s looking for help at guard, former Saints Pro Bowler Larry Warford remains available.
